Dr. Lawrence S. Glass' life-long interest
in medicine began in childhood during his frequent visits to his father's
medical office in Gardena,
California. As a boy, Dr. Glass' volunteer services at both his father’s
clinic and local hospital shaped his decision to enter the healing
arts profession.
A native Los Angeles, Dr. Glass graduated from Beverly
Hills High School. He attended the University of California at Santa
Barbara and received
his B.A. Degree in Psychology from the University of California in
Los Angeles. His D.O. (Doctor of Osteopathy) was awarded from the College
of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific (now known as Western University
of Health Sciences) in Pomona, California. After graduating from medical
school, he completed rotating internships at Burbank Community Hospital
in Burbank, California and at the University of Southern California
Medical
Center in Los Angeles County.
Working as a Family Physician, Dr. Glass
specializes in Addiction Medicine and Pain Management. He has since
received years of extensive training
in both of these fields. Today, Dr. Glass is a leading practitioner
and educator in the separate but inter-related fields of Addiction
Medicine
and Pain Management. His long-term experience in these two overlapping
fields offers a unique perspective on meeting the dual needs of patients
facing pain and addiction.
In addition, Dr. Glass is currently a Preceptor
and Clinical Professor at Western University of Health Sciences in
Pomona, California. His
Hospital Affiliations
include Encino-Tarzana Regional Medical Center, Encino, CA. as well as
Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center in Burbank, CA. He is committed
to providing
not only compassionate, patient-centered care, but also to ensuring
that his patients
have access to state-of-the-art advances in modern medicine.
